Aura Ventures Fund III
The Aura Ventures Fund III will be set up as an early-stage venture capital fund. It will aim to deliver capital growth and diversification to our limited partners by investing predominately in category-defining technology companies primarily born in Australia.
About the Fund
Following the successful launch of the Aura Ventures Fund I and II in 2017 and 2022, respectively, Aura Ventures is in the final stages of preparing the launch of the Aura Ventures Fund III.
The objective of the Fund is to deliver 25% IRR p.a. (net of fees) through a diversified portfolio of c.25 high-growth technology companies that have the potential to generate capital growth for investors.
The Fund employs a high conviction, thesis-led strategy to invest into technology start-ups. Primary focus is on Seed stage companies in B2B SaaS and Marketplaces.
ESVCLP Status
The Fund will apply for conditional registration as an Early Stage Venture Capital Limited Partnership (ESVCLP) from the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources. This means partnership interests in the Fund will be eligible to receive tax benefits associated with the income and capital gains generated by the Fund’s underlying investments once unconditional registration as an ESVCLP is obtained.
