Aura Group is pleased to announce that the Australian leading aggregator Finsure Group has won the 2021 Aggregator of the Year at the prestigious MPA Australian Mortgage Awards last week and is celebrating its 10th anniversary.
Finsure was co-founded by Aura Group Chairman, John Kolenda and Managing Director Calvin Ng, which later merged with ASX-listed Goldfields Money Limited in 2018 to create BNK Banking Corporation Limited (ASX:BBC). Aura Group was an early investor and advisor to Finsure Group including its merger with Goldfields Money.
Finsure commenced trading in October 2011 and has become one of the fast-growing and multiple award-winning aggregation businesses with a network of more than 2,000 brokers. Earlier this year, Finsure achieved a record monthly settlement of $2.8 billion while their loan book recently reached the $56 billion milestone.
It’s hard to believe Finsure has been going for 10 years and I am very proud of all we have achieved over the past decade, particularly as when we started the world was still emerging from the global financial crisis. We are now operating through the COVID-19 pandemic, but the Group has continued to grow and perform strongly. The speed of our growth over the past decade has exceeded all my expectations and is a tribute to the hard work of our staff and our broker partners. When Finsure was first launched, the mortgage broking industry was different to what we have today, with a small number of established aggregators dominating the industry. We successfully identified a gap in the market, with brokers wanting a more personal touch to how their aggregator supports their business along with more business-to-business solutions by offering a diverse lending panel, flexible commission models, comprehensive marketing solutions, and extensive broker support services.
Finsure has been aided by the acquisition of LoanKit in 2013 and since 2018 the support and partnership with BNK Banking Corporation, which created Australia’s truly scalable digital challenger bank focused on providing lending solutions for Australian consumers via broker distribution. The combined entity with BNK has provided enormous benefits to Finsure’s broker network, boosting their service proposition to enable them to offer customers better home loan products and rates.
Since it was founded, Finsure has been fortunate to receive numerous awards and industry recognition, including multiple Aggregator of the Year honours.“I have taken great pride in all of our awards and the milestones we have accomplished over the past 10 years,” Mr Kolenda said.
Other key initiatives to enhance value to members include the Broker Academy, the Women in Finsure program, and the market-leading customer relationship management (CRM) platform Infynity.
All these initiatives have been fabulous accomplishments for Finsure to build up the business to this level in 10 years and sets the path for continuous growth.
